Wifi @ Det Kongelige Bibliotek

Once I tried to use PC connecting Internet here but I had to give up on the way owing to little time to explore.
This is such a memorial place whose name is Det Kongelige Bibliotek aka library 'Black Diamond'.

Today I retried to connect wireless network with my portable PC.
First off, I got a desk which has some electric plugs and turned my PC on.
When I launched the firefox the first page guide to the login window.
Then I put my CPR code and PIN code with which I always use for general library.
Hmm... I cannot login.
So I tried to log in on the library's PC and I got the same result.

本日は良い機会なので、自分のノートPCを持ち込んで再度ネットワーク接続についてチャレンジしてみた。
まずは、電源のある席を確保。PCを起動してみる。
firefoxを立ち上げるとログイン画面へと続く初期画面が表示される。
その後はいつも公共図書館で利用している自分のCPRとパスワードを入力。
うーん、駄目だ。ログインできない。というわけで図書館備え付けのPCでログインを試すがやっぱり駄目。



I asked a librarian about my trouble and now I know the system for Black diamond is completely different from general bibliotek. Oh, no. I am still wondering why...
The kind librarian showed me a terminal to register my data. The terminal is located on the connecting bridge, so you can see the running car below over the terminal machine.
Finally, I could get my account for network at Det Kongelige Bibliotek after 15 minutes activation.

図書館員にトラブルについて尋ねると、一般の公共図書館とは全く異なるシステムとのこと。なんてこった。今でも何故かは分からん。
親切な館員の方が登録用端末まで案内してくれた。渡り廊下にあたるので端末越しに車が下を走っているのが見える。
必要事項を記入した後１５分のアクティベーションを経てブラックダイアモンドでのネットワークアカウントをゲットできた。



If you select 'KB infosal b/g' which is one of the 3 wireless networks, I could see its network speed is 54Mbps which is extraordinarily fast in Denmark as far as I know. Excellent.
I could confirm that I could use gmail, yahoo widgets and even skype which is not supposed to be used in the library, of course.

３つ検知されるネットワークのうち「KB infosal b/g」を選択すると54Mbpsという驚きの数値が確認できた。デンマークでは今まで見たこと無い回線速度だ。素晴らしい。
ネットサーフ以外ではgmailやyahoo widget、更には常識的に図書館で利用しないであろうskypeすら利用可能な状態であった。

Incidentally, I would like to write down that it is free to use a locker that allow you to walk around without your luggage. It requires you 10 DKK as deposit, though.

尚、無料でロッカーを利用できるのでジャケットやら手袋やら必要無い手荷物を持たずに館内を移動できる。１０クローナのデポジットは必要だけど。
