The sheet of paper

Because today is a public holiday, I tried to go to the swimming pool.
And then I found a sheet of paper on the window of its door at the entrance.
In short, it was closed.... orz.

The note said as follows.

================================================
Helligdagslukninger først halvår 2006
Nyheden er oprettet d. 31. Marts 2006

Anlægget er lukket
Skærtorsdag - langfredag - 1. og 2. påskedag - 1. Maj - Store Bededag - Kristi himmelfartsdag - 1. og 2. pinsedag.

================================================
In Danish,
'Helligdag' means public holiday and 'lukning' means closure.
'først halvår' means former half-year.
'Nyheden' is a news, and 'oprettet' means made.

In the same manner,
'Anlægget' >> building
'Skærtorsdag' >> Maunday Thursday
'langfredag' >> Good Friday
'påskedag ' means Easter Monday
'Store Bededag' >> General Prayer Day
'Kristi himmelfartsdag' >> Ascension
'pinsedag' >> Whitsunday

So the former part of the message could be translated in English like the following.
================================================
public holiday closing in former half-year of 2006
This news is created on 31/March 2006

The building is closed ... (the name of holidays)
================================================

Then, I felt like grasping all public holiday.
And it was not hard to reach the document on Wikipedia.

But again, it was not obvious for me regarding date even after I got definition for them,
so I searched the exact day on the Internet.
Eventually, I could arrang public holidays 2006 like this...

=======================================
2006
Nytår: 1 January
Skærtorsdag: Thursday 13 April
Langfredag: Friday 14 April
Påskesøndag: Sunday 16 April
2. påskedag: Monday 17 April
Store Bededag: Friday 12 May
Kristi Himmelfartsdag: Thursday 25 May
Pinsedag: Sunday 4 June
2. pinsedag: Monday 5 June
1. juledag: 25 December
2. juledag: 26 December
=======================================

I hope I never spend my time to see that sheet of paper again at least this year.
