Wifi @ Stadsbiblioteket i Malmö

Today, I came to Malmö in Sweden to preview the dentist here.
Main purpose is to estimate my commuting time and cost from København.

本日は歯科通院の下見でスウェーデンのマルメにやって来た。
コペンハーゲンからの所要時間及び必要経費を知るのが主な目的だ。

Having taken the train which started around 10:40, we were in the station of Malmö at 11:20.
So it takes about 40 minutes from Central station in København to Malmö station.
And one day round trip ticket for one person costs 144 DKK which means about 2,800 Japanese yen. It is not cheap at all.
Regarding exchanging money, I could draw Swedish kroner with my VISA card at the station, so it was easy. This was the second visit here, it went much more smoothly than I expected.

１０時４0分頃の電車に乗ってから、１１時２０分には駅舎内にいたので移動時間は４０分くらいだっただろう。費用は一日往復券が1名で144DKKくらいだったから一人だと２８００円くらいだろう。安くは無い。
お金の両替についても、駅でＶＩＳＡカードから引き出すことができたので問題は特に無かった。
今回は二回目の訪問だからか、結構順調だ。



And I looked for the dentist as my main destination. Referring the image of the map that I have saved in Nokia phone, I could find it very easily.
There I reconfirmed my reservation and asked receptionist to give me its mail adress in case.

で、目的地である歯科を探す。地図を画像として携帯電話に入れておいたので、それを参照しながらあっさりと到着。事前に電話しておいた予約のリコンファームをし、万が一の為にメールアドレスを貰っておいた。これで一安心だ。



Naccomplishedished my main objective, but it is stupid to go back Denmark only with this business. So I visited Malmö public library Stadsbiblioteket i Malmö to check how Wifi environment is.

さて、メインの目的が達成したが、これでコペンに戻るのも勿体無いので、最近趣味になりつつある図書館巡りinマルメを敢行。尚、Stadsbiblioteket i Malmö はホームページ。



I got there easily with the image in Nokia phone as well. I was so impressed wcomfortablefortable space and very high ceiling. I thought I became more smarter than I really am. ;-)

こちらも事前にマップを携帯の画像として取り込んでおいたので迷うことなく到着。
中に入ってみると、とても素敵な空間だ。天井高ぇ。更に周りの雰囲気で勝手に知的になったような気がする。



First off, I tried to connect my PC to Internet. I could find the desk with electrical plug so that I don't have to take care the battery. And the Wifi service is open to anybody which means I could use Internet service without logging in. And the connection speed is 54 Mbps. Excellent and Super!! I am really pleased with this place.

さて、早速PCを接続してみることに。メインホールをウロウロしているとPC用電源が付随したテーブルがあったのでバッテリーも気にする必要が無い。更にワイヤレスネットワークはオープンでログインの必要もなく接続できた。しかも54Mbps。嗚呼、素晴らしい。また来たいぞ。

Incidentally, I came to know the background for "The Wonderful Adventures of Nils" is Sweden. The animation of this story was broadcasted and well-known in Japan around 1980.
This title song is a sort of sweet memory to me.

余談だが、ニルスのふしぎな旅ってスウェーデンが舞台だったことを今日まで知らんかった。
Oh come on up Nils 旅に出かけよう　準備なんか要らーないって曲が懐かしい。
