The end of the 2005

At the very last day of year 2005, we left hotel toward the department that we had dropped in the day before.　This time, the U-bahn station where we get off was Rathaus.
Within 10 minutes from station, we arrived at our destination.

After we ate light meal at the food court, had cappucino at the shop of cappucino machine.
Then, we tried to buy sausages at the super market in it.
Because now we know all German people is not good at English, we asked the clerk whether she can speak English. Eventually, the other woman came up and helped us to order our request.
She was very kind so that we appreciate her a lot.
When we left there she said "Tschüß" which means "See you".
So we mimiced her way to reply that. ;-)

At 7 p.m., we had visited Japanese restaurant Shiki again, and ordered Kaiseki-ryori that we rarely can eat in Denmark.
Having enjoyed Kazunoko (herring roe), Hotaru-ika(firefly squid), Yaki-taraba(king crab), Jibuni, Sashimi and so on,
we were totally satisfied with it.

At the midnight, we could see incredible number of fireworks which is launched by so many people. It looks as if whole horizontal line covered by exploding fireworks. Amazing.
In Japan, the fireworks is famous for summer events, but in Western world, especially in Scandinavia, they seldom launch wireworks because it has short night time.

2005年最後の日、前日に立ち寄ったデパートに向かう。
てことで、今回下車するのはRathaus（市庁舎）。
駅から10分もしないうちに、目的地に到着した。

軽食をフードコートでとり、カプチーノマシン売り場でカプチーノを飲む。
それからデパート内スーパーでソーセージを買うことにした。全てのドイツ人が英語を話せるわけじゃないと学んだので、英語ができるか店員に聞いてみる。果たして別の店員が現れ注文を聞いてくれた。
とても親切に教えてくれたので大感謝。去り際にチュースって言われたんで、またねって意味だろうと思い真似をする。日本ならコンチワって意味になるのにな。

夜の7時にレストラン四季を再び訪れ、デンマークではまずその値段では食べられそうもない懐石料理を注文することにした。
数の子やら蛍烏賊やら治部煮等に舌鼓。大晦日にドイツで和食を食べることになるとは思っていなかったし、懐石なんて久しぶりだったんで大満足。

カウントダウンの午前0時には信じられないくらいの数の花火が上がった。
地平線が花火で覆いつくされているのは圧巻であった。
その頃、DSのどうぶつの森の画面でも花火が上がっていた。（笑）
日本では夏の風物詩なのだが、欧米、こと北欧では夏に花火はめったに打ち上げないとか。
そういえば夏は夜11時頃まで明るいからな。納得。

印象深い大晦日であった。
