My bar code reader

Sometime I come up with an interesting idea.
Recent one is personal calculator with bar code reader whose size is like iPod.

時たま面白いアイデアを思いつくことがある。
最近あったら欲しいなと思えたものは、
iPodくらいの携帯性を持ち、家計簿ソフトと連携ができるバーコードリーダー付きの計算端末。

I believe it is very difficult for a lazy person to keep daily expenditure.
But I guess it might be easy if all you have to do is to read bar code with a gadget.
It means bar code reader perceives the name , price and amount of goods as well as date of purchase and stores all data to its memory.
And if this gadget can connect to PC via USB or something like that, you can transfer data to it so that you don't have to keep data every day.

日々自分の支出を家計簿につけることは几帳面な人でなければ続かないと思う。
でも、バーコードでピピッと読み取るだけで、商品とその値段及び個数と買った日付が一気に入力できるならば、記帳するのに時間がかからないので続けられるのではないか。
更にある程度の容量を持つ内蔵された記憶媒体にデータを保存できて、
USBあたりでPCに接続し一括でデータを転送できれば毎日帳簿をつける必要もないだろう。

For instance, the style to purchase could be like following.
When you want something, you read bar code just before you put it in your basket.
(Oh, basket could have bar code so that all customer has to do would be set the gadget on it)
If the total amount of price would be updated every time you read each bar code, it is also helpful for customer to know how much he should pay at the casher in advance.
Besides that, if the clerk at the cashier made mistake, you can show him your estimation immediately to negotiate.
Then, after shopping, connecting the gadget to PC launches software to keep expenditure.
I guess it is possible the software automatically get data from calculator and sync like iTunes to iPod.
I really want such a handy gadget if it is not so expensive.

例えば、買物をする時の手順はこうだ。
カゴに商品を入れる時にバーコードで金額を読むとする。
（待てよ、カゴにバーコードが装備されていて端末をドックに挿入する仕様でもいいかもしれない。）
とにかく、読み込むたびに合計金額が更新されていけば、レジに並ぶ前に支払う金額を知ることもできて安心だ。2円財布の中が足りなかったとレジで踵を返すことも無くなるだろう。
レジの人に打ち間違いがあったとしても、自分の表示を見せて確認するといったこともできるだろう。
で、家に帰ったら、その端末をPCに接続し、iPodに例えればiTunesにあたる家計簿ソフトが自動で同期をとってくれ、記帳終了。家計簿ソフトでは商品の底値を検索したり、過去の支出傾向をグラフで表示できたりすると良い。
そんな手軽なバーコードリーダー付き計算機があったら欲しいと思った。
